REVIEWER GUIDELINES
Manuscripts submitted to Masile Jurnal Studi Ilmu Keislaman will undergo a blind review process. Reviewers are assigned to conduct a review which includes analysis and assessment of the acceptability of the manuscript for publication in the Masile Jurnal Studi Ilmu Keislaman. Reviewers should consider the following before conducting a review:
Is the manuscript you reviewed matches your expertise? (If the article is not in your area of expertise, please notify the Editorial Secretary )
Do you have time to review the manuscript? (The review process must be completed within 3 weeks of submission of the manuscript. If you do not agree with these conditions and need more time to review, please contact the Editorial Secretary)
Is there a conflict of interest with the manuscript? (If you have a conflict of interest with the manuscript, please contact the Editorial Secretary)
Is there any indication of plagiarism in the manuscript? (If you suspect that there is an indication of plagiarism in the manuscript, please contact the Editorial Secretary immediately)
Review Process:
Title: Does the text describe it clearly?
Abstract: Does it reflect the content of the manuscript?
Introduction: The introduction should contain the general background and research questions or hypotheses. A literature review should be included in the introduction.
Has the manuscript met the required journal writing guidelines?
Content Manuscripts:
If issues related to previously reviewed manuscripts have been published, were the manuscripts OK when published?
Does the manuscript contain novelty, in-depth knowledge, and points of interest to warrant publication?
Does the manuscript contribute to the development of knowledge?
Are the main theories or references used in line with the research?
Method:
Did the author accurately describe how the data was collected?
Does the article answer the questions raised in the research?
Was a new method used? If there is a new method, is it described in detail?
Results and Discussion: The results should explain the authors' findings. This section should be written clearly in a logical order. The reviewer needs to consider if a suitable analysis has been carried out.
Conclusion: The conclusion should contain recommendations and a summary of the research. The summary must have examples of answers that are in accordance with the research objectives or the findings obtained. Summary should not contain repetition of research results or discussion. The recommendations given must correlate with the concept of the research being carried out or suggestions for improving the research.
Tables and Figures: Tables and figures presented must correlate with the content of the article and they must have clear reference sources (such as books, journals, websites or other references)
References: Please ensure that any references cited in the text are listed in the Chicago style reference list. Bibliography must contain reference libraries originating from primary sources (scientific journals and a minimum of 80% of the entire bibliography) published in the last 10 (ten) years. Each article contains at least 10 (ten) references. Writing Guidelines: Please write your text in good Indonesian, which is interesting to read and easy to understand, and in accordance with Enhanced Spelling.
Final Reviews:
Assessment of manuscript review must be written in the Review Form sent by the Editorial Secretary.
At the end of the review, reviewers are asked to provide one of the following recommendations:
Be accepted; means that the manuscript is acceptable for publication
Accepted with minor revisions; means that the manuscript can be accepted for publication after being revised according to the responses from the reviewers.
Received with major revision; meant that substantive deficiencies in the manuscript, such as data analysis, main theory used, and paragraph rewriting, needed to be revised.
Rejected; means that the manuscript cannot be accepted for publication or the review given is related to very basic issues
